Update Sail Melbourne 2010- 8th Overall, 2nd Medal Race

It has been a hectic couple of weeks down at Sandringham Yacht Club for the annual ISAF Grade One World Cup ‘Sail Melbourne’. The usual 15knot seabreeze didn’t eventuate during the whole regatta so we had to settle for max 5knots shifting from the West. I had a mixed regatta having moments right up the front with a 3rd in race one and a 2nd in the medal race. In the end I had to settle for 8th overall, it is a good start to the season and one that I can build on for the upcoming regattas. Sail Sydney 2010 Krystal finishes 3rd overall

In the Laser Radial class Krystal Weir started the day in fourth position, six points behind Claire Blom of the Netherlands. Training in Melbourne

Over the past two weeks I have been back home in Melbourne training for Sail Melbourne. We have had a great squad of Radials training from Sandringham Yacht Club with Johnny, Oli and Sarah from the VIS. Sarah Lihan from the USA joined in the training also. I have been back training with Bruce at Balance & Control Pilates and Sara Picton at PRP.
