Over the weekend I was coaching down at the VLA coaching camp.
The Victoria Laser Association were down at Indented Heads for a two day intensive camp. We had a variety of ages down at the event from 13 years old to guys in there late 70s.
There were over 30 sailors ready to get out on the water and put in some hard hours in the 20knots flat water. There is a lot of members preparing for there upcoming worlds be it Masters or Under 21.
I had a great time passing on as much knowledge as possible alongside Mark Tonner-Joyce the head VLA coach.
Indented Heads did a fanatics job feeding all the hungry sailors and helping out with pulling motor boats in & out of the water.
Highlight of the camp was the lamonse start- where all the sailors after having a full stomach of food , ran an obstical course before jumping in there boats and racing out to the course.
The next VLA camp is Sail Country in Albury – best to contact VLA direct for information.
