It has been a hectic couple of weeks down at Sandringham Yacht Club for the annual ISAF Grade One World Cup ‘Sail Melbourne’. The usual 15knot seabreeze didn’t eventuate during the whole regatta so we had to settle for max 5knots shifting from the West. I had a mixed regatta having moments right up the front with a 3rd in race one and a 2nd in the medal race. In the end I had to settle for 8th overall, it is a good start to the season and one that I can build on for the upcoming regattas.
The VIS were extremely supportive during the event providing coaching support for me during the event with Sarah B and Johnny R.
