Krystal to compete at the 2015 Laser Radial Womens Worlds in Oman

"I am really excited to jump back into the boat after having 10months off sailing the Laser, I am keen to help qualify Australia for an Olympic Spot for Rio" Over the past 10months Krystal has been busy working as a physiotherapist at mhealth in Mentone & Myphysio at GESAC.  Krystal has also been working with VIS to develop the Strength & Conditioning program for a group of identified talented Laser Sailors (run out of Royal Brighton Yacht Club Gym). Coaching wise Krystal has been head coach for the Victorian Open Bic Class working with Anna Philip (Past Youth Worlds Champ 2014) in a lead up to their world championship at Safety Beach in January.  At Sandringham Yacht Club Krystal has been helping the  junior sailing program in Victoria by coaching...

Krystal Coaching Session #1 complete

Awesome first session at the new 'Krystal coaching' clinic Sandringham Yacht Club in the Laser 4.7. Perfect wind conditions & the girls were doing brilliantly as most of them had never sailed lasers before! The girls for the first 6 weeks are Tilly, Jess, Emma, Grace, Rachel, Zoe, Kate & Noa. These girls come from lots of different sailing background & bring with them some great knowledge into the Laser. Open Bic, Minow, Opti, 420 & International Cadet as well as the Laser 4.7. We covered rigging, tacking 101, & downwind boat control on Tuesday night & we even had a few races at the end. Next week we are learning how to stop the boat, hold it at a mark & then accelerate the boat. Well done girls..cant wait for...
